UART 2017 Online Colored Pencil Competition

UART is pleased to announce its 2017 Online Colored Pencil Competition. The contest will run from October 26th, 2017 through December 3rd, 2017. There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners as well as five honorable mentions. Winners will be notified on December 12th, 2017. We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous donations that helped shape our prize packages and Vera Curnow, CPSA-CPW for jurying our contest.

We are now accepting entries for UART’s 2017 Online Colored Pencil Competition.

ELIGIBILITY

Contest is open to all artists over the age 16 in the United States and abroad. Please read carefully to make sure your work meets the following entry requirements:
– Works must be done on UART paper only
– Works must be a minimum of 80% colored pencil.
– Work must be original, not copied from other artists or published materials.
– All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of a base photo or print
– All work must have been created within the last 12 months
– Submissions of nudes will be considered for acceptance
– Works done under supervision (such as in a workshop or class) are not eligible

ENTRY FEE

Entry fee is $19 per participant, $5 for each additional submission (up to 5 submissions allowed per participant). Entry fee is nonrefundable and must be paid at time of entry. Entry deadline is at 11:59pm PST on December 3rd, 2017

JUROR

Vera Curnow, CPSA, CPX will be jurying the contest. All artwork will be submitted anonymously (as randomized numbers) to the juror.

DIGITAL REQUIREMENTS

Please follow the instructions carefully regarding the preparation of your images:
– Entry form must be filled out in its entirety. List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.
– Before uploading your images, make sure they are smaller than 4MB, but at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space.
