Have you just started painting in pastels and want to expedite your learning, or are you an experienced pastelist looking to change things up in a friendly but challenging environment?

In this workshop, Dawn Limbert will guide you through her process of creating pastel landscape paintings in the studio. Focusing on the foundations of successful representational art, including composition, values, colour, and drawing; and including specific exercises such as creating notans, small colour studies, and underpainting techniques, Dawn will take you through her process of producing dramatic landscape paintings in pastel.

Who should attend? Anyone from the beginner to the more experienced pastelist looking for ways to improve their work. Dawn provides generous attention at the easel in a fun, encouraging, and judgement free environment.

About the Artist: Dawn Limbert is a self-taught pastel artist with a love of colour, dramatic light and shadows. She is an Associate Artist with Unison Colour, Manchester Academy of Fine Arts, and the Pastel Society of America. She has exhibited with the Pastel Society at Mall Galleries, London, Society of Graphic Fine Art and has twice been long listed for Jacksons Painting Prize.
