Jacob discovered pastels in 2011 when he came across the landscape pastels of Richard McKinley. He was hooked and began experimenting and studying with several artists including Richard McKinley, Albert Handell, Clark Mitchell, and Marla Baggetta. Jacob teaches regular classes in Westbrook, Maine, as well as plein air and studio workshops around the country and internationally. He is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a professional artist member of the Copley Society in Boston.
